It's a policy of the blog never to publish the figures I am betting. There are one or two clues dotted around which might indicate roughly the amounts I bet.
Just as I don't like telling people in real life the amounts I am winning and losing, I won't be doing so here. Very few people apart from close family and friends know the figures and this is how it will be staying, it affects relationships and friendships - most of whom know my job, but understand that amounts aren't really to be asked about. I know I'm not the only blogger to not publish figures, these are very good reasons for not doing so.
When I began the blog I had discussions with one or two other gambling bloggers about this and their views were mixed, both sides had good points. Those that said there's no need to publish them, understood my reasons. Those that said it's not good enough to post opinions and detailed posts without proving it through figures, I disagreed with, but respected their opinion. My hope is to continue posting good quality articles and disprove the neccessity to post the numbers.
If you can't get by without knowing how much I'm winning or losing then this blog is not for you.

Can't argue with that!

So how much do you stake then lol only kidding. i value your blog very much as a learner trader and do pop in every day " i dont always post though" and i really try to put the advice/guidence into practice.i have gone from a scared gambler to one who doesnt get to upset now lol thanks to yourself/Ray/Pete/Tj and many others.the advice in these blogs is invaluable and you wouldnet get this amount of support with a paying tipster.so just to say i dont care how much you bet as long as you keep posting.thanks

your blog seems to be very evasive and secretive. First you dont quote your bet sizes and second you dont actually say anything in your posts about how you bet. Its all psychobabble. I dont see any point to this blog at all really.

I understand your reasoning for not posting your P/L, it's not something that is necessary for a successful blog. In some case the figures can take away from the real meat of the content. I post figures on mine simply because I enjoy tracking the profit, I'm very open with my P/L but I by no means think everyone should have to be the same. Besides, even though I'm posting figures who's to say they're real? I know they are, but i'm not going to prove it for anyone like those blogs that actually posts P/L page screenshots - that's just silly.

This sort of post always sparks debate. Your reply 'bettor' was fairly predictable and I'm glad you made it.
Yes there's a lot of psycho babble, but that is what interests me and it's what I want to blog about, it's also something I feel massively helps my trading. Without the knowledge I'm posting I wouldn't be successful, it's your choice whether you find it valuable or not and whether you want to take time to read. Plenty of people would like to know how I bet and how much (few people do know).
Should I publicise the precise way I bet? No. Why would I? Anyone coming here expecting to read that is naive will be disappointed. Will reading figures diminish because of it? Maybe - but it doesn't bother me. In many ways I already feel I'm giving away the way I bet in amongst the psychology, it's down to you to translate this to your own way of betting.
There's plenty of financial trading psychology blogs out there that don't suffer at all because the writer doesn't publish figures. At the end of the day, the readers are those that are interested in the subject matter or enjoy the read, and surely this should be the aim of a decent blog.
Either way, a successful bettor giving away how he bets would be quite silly. What I am posting though (in my very humble and modest opinion:) is decent advice on how to think and I for one am finding writing it very helpful personally.
The golf course awaits me...cheers TJ, humble and Nick.

Hi Matt,
We'll have to arrange a day out on the golf course sometime soon when the weather turns decent! Would be nice to actually play with someone half decent, lol.
Interesting article, you could be making $1 or $10,000 a day, it doesn't bother me as the content of the blog is very good.
